<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide metal oxide sol containing a vanadium component and a titanium component, and excellent in storage stability, especially metal oxide sol which is useful as a denitration catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: The metal oxide sol includes a vanadium component and a titanium component, wherein the content of titanium to vanadium is 0.25-1 in terms of TiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>/V<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">5</SB>(mass ratio). In the method for producing the metal oxide sol, after removing accessary material from gel obtained by mixing alkaline vanadate aqueous solution with acidic titanium salt aqueous solution, the gel is heated at 50-150°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
