<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blast furnace operation method by which upon reducing a ratio of reducing material in the blast furnace by using ferrocoke, quantity of powder generated in the blast furnace is also reduced to improve air permeability at the lower part of the blast furnace, thereby the stable operation of the blast furnace can be achieved. <P>SOLUTION: When ferrocoke is used as raw material charged into the blast furnace in the blast furnace operation employing center coke charging, the blast furnace operation method is used which is characterized in that a part of the ferrocoke is charged into a radial direction position having 0.0-0.12 dimensionless radius, and the remnant of the ferrocoke and the iron raw material are mixed and charged into the blast furnace.
