Micro gas vesicles with a wall of crosslinked polyvinyl alcohol, where nanoparticles are embedded in the wall of the micro gas vesicles, is claimed. An independent claim is included for producing micro gas vesicles with embedded nanoparticles comprising preparing micro gas vesicles with a walls of crosslinked polyvinyl alcohol, where the crosslinking is carried out in the presence of nanoparticles, which are held by the cross-linking in the walls.
