<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire suppression system which identifies and cools a particular area, pallet, and/or container experiencing a fire or an unacceptably high temperature in a location remote from a person overseeing the location, such as a cargo storage facility supervisor or an aircraft flight crew member. <P>SOLUTION: A fire suppression system 40 comprises: a temperature sensor including a temperature sensor array configured to acquire temperature information associated with an area; a fire alerting system associated with the temperature sensor; and a fire suppressant delivery system 50 configured to provide at least one fire suppressant to the area associated with the undesirably high temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
