<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device capable of securing a storage space for article without narrowing the inside space of a car room by providing an article storage means having the storage space for article and operable from the interior space of the car room on outer side of the interior space of the car room. <P>SOLUTION: The elevator device has a car including the car room 22 with a car floor 23 and a vertical wall 39 vertically extended from the car floor 23 surrounding the periphery of the car floor 23 from one lateral side of an entrance of the car to the other lateral side.
