<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching power supply apparatus that is configured to improve conversion efficiency in power supply at light loads, and can overcome a short-term load increase without changing the size of its transformer. <P>SOLUTION: A flyback converter operating in a discontinuous conduction mode comprises a transformer having a primary winding, an auxiliary winding and multiple secondary windings, a switching element having one end connected to the primary winding of the transformer and a control terminal connected to the auxiliary winding and smoothly commutating means for smoothly commutating an alternate voltage generating at one ends of the multiple secondary windings, which also comprises selecting means for changing inductance values of the multiple secondary windings and control means for determining operational state thereof. The control means activates the selecting means for selecting the inductance values of the multiple secondary windings to change the inductance values of the multiple secondary windings. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
