<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diamond-coated cemented carbide drill excellent in swarf dischargeability and demonstrating excellent wear resistance over long-term usage in cutting processing of difficult-to-cut material such as aluminum alloy, graphite, CFRP, etc. <P>SOLUTION: The diamond-coated cemented carbide drill is coated with a diamond film with 3-30 μm thickness on a surface of a drill base composed of a tungsten carbide group cemented carbide or titanium carbonitride group cermet. In the diamond film, a half width of a drill edge part is equal to or smaller than 15 cm<SP POS="POST">-1</SP>based on measurement of a half width of peak caused by a diamond structure seen at a part near 1,333 cm<SP POS="POST">-1</SP>of Raman spectrum, and a half width in a flute groove part separated from an edge by a distance equivalent to a drill diameter or more is 30-80 cm<SP POS="POST">-1</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
