Wind turbine with a brake device and method for braking as well as use of the brake device

The turbine has a rotor, and a drive train connected to a generator for generating electric power by the rotation of the drive train. A braking device (43) decelerates drive train components (44) of the drive train. The braking device comprises an electronic wedge brake with an electronic braking force control. A control unit (61) is utilized by the braking force control to actively counteract vibrations of the power train components during operation. The drive train has shafts as the drive train components connected with each other via a transmission gear (33). An independent claim is also included for a method for braking drive train components of a drive train of a wind turbine.
