The invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, in particular to a method for processing of steel products by their chemical-thermal treatment. A method for processing steel products includes their preliminary processing before forming boride layer in a container with a fusible gate is carried out in an electrolyte plasma with a discharge in an aqueous electrolyte solution at a current density of 0.3-0.8 A/cm, a voltage of 40-80 V within 15-20 minutes, followed by saturation in the powder mixture containing 18 wt. % of BC, 3 wt. % of NaF and the rest is carburizer at a temperature of 920- for 3.5-4 hours. The invention provides the increase in thickness of the boride coating surface layer, its micro-hardness and strength, the decrease in brittleness of this layer, in the processing time and the cost of the initial components. |
