PURPOSE: A pouch type secondary battery is provided to strongly and effectively short a metal layer and a positive electrode tap of a pouch exterior, thereby capable of preventing corrosion and swelling phenomenon of a metal layer. CONSTITUTION: A pouch type secondary battery comprises an electrode assembly consisting of a positive electrode plate, a separator, a negative electrode plate; an external material(10), in which a hot-melt layer, a metal layer, and an insulating layer are laminated in order, accepting an electrode assembly, and comprising a sealing part; a positive electrode tab(20), in which a tab film surrounds a part protruded from the positive electrode plate to outside, electrically connected to the positive electrode; a negative electrode tab, in which a tab film surrounds a part protruded from the negative electrode plate to outside, electrically connected to the negative electrode; and a connector forcibly connecting the metal layer and the positive electrode tab.
