<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for germination promoting treatment of seeds, which improves poor germination such as nongermination, uneven germination, etc., without essentially requiring cooling means for preventing heat generation of seeds. <P>SOLUTION: The method for germination promoting treatment of seeds grinds the outer peripheral surfaces of seeds by a whetstone roll made of vitrified grinding stone comprising a SiC abrasive grain as a main component. The whetstone roll is provided in a prescribed manner in a porous cylinder, seeds are supplied from a feed part arranged at one end side of the porous cylinder, the outer peripheral surfaces of the seeds are ground by the whetstone roll in the porous cylinder and the seeds having the ground outer peripheral surfaces are discharged from a discharge part arranged at the other end side of the porous cylinder. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
