<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a range hood that detects a temperature of a pan as the same temperature regardless of ports of an in-use cooking stove and operates the range hood with proper flow of air. <P>SOLUTION: The range hood includes a transmission window 8 for guiding infrared ray near a top plate of a heating cooker to a thermoelectromotive force temperature sensor 9. The transmission window 8 includes a protection cover 10 through which infrared ray penetrates. The protection cover 10 includes a transmittance adjusting part 10a that makes the transmittance of viewing angle within which a cooking stove arranged in the center of the heating cooker comes lower than the outside thereof.
