<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select a substituting substance of HFC-134a when performing a similitude testing. <P>SOLUTION: A substituting testing gas is used as it is or is used by mixing with other gas when testing a compressor according to an ASMEPTC-10 test. The substituting testing gas may, for example, be: a gas having a molecular weight in a range of 40 g/gmol to 150 g/gmol, a global warming potential (GWP) less than 700, and a gas specific heat ratio in a range of 1 to 1.5; a gas having one of other set of predetermined properties; or a gas selected from a group consisting of HFC-245ca (known as R-245 or by its chemical nomenclature of 1,1,2,2,3-pentafluoropentane), HFO-1234yf (known by its chemical nomenclature of 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoroprop-1-ene), HFO-1234ZE (known by its chemical nomenclature of trans-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoroprop-1-ene), and DR-11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
