<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retardation film having high transparency, superior wavelength dispersion characteristics, very high adhesiveness and capable of giving reverse dispersion in the birefringent wavelength dispersion characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The retardation film is obtained by stretching a film, comprising a norbornene-based ring-opening polymer containing a structural unit expressed by general formula (1) and having a ratio of the structural unit with the wavy line c representing an exo-configuration by 20 to 65 mol%. In the formula (1), n represents an integer of 0 or 1; X represents a group expressed by formula of -CH=CH- or formula of -CH<SB>2</SB>CH<SB>2</SB>-; wavy lines a, b, c represent "endo"- or exo-configurations. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
