<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow reliable sealing treatment of a hole portion as lined existing pipelines remain in active conditions while aiming at the plurality of types of pipelines having different pipe diameters, by using a versatile device. <P>SOLUTION: The sealing member pressing device includes a supporting shaft 10 whose lower part is inserted through the hole portion into a pipe, an arm supporting mechanism 20 having slidable cylinders 22, 23, 24 slidable along the supporting shaft 10, a plurality of arm members 31a, 31b, 32a-32d, 33a, 33b foldable and developable and extending around the supporting shaft 10 in different directions, and a sealing member supported on the arm members.
