<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a toroidal unit to which a toroidal bag is attached to be removed easily from a drive unit which is to be fixed on an endoscope. <P>SOLUTION: A self-propulsion device includes a drive unit 30 comprised of a first inner cylinder 32 to which an endoscope is fixed and a first outer cylinder 35 which covers the outer periphery of the first inner cylinder 32 and is supported by the first inner cylinder 32, and a toroidal unit 50 comprised of a bag 40, a second inner cylinder 51 having driven rollers 46 and 47 which are mounted in the bag 40 and a second outer cylinder 52 outside the second inner cylinder 51. A drive wheel 45 is provided so that it is exposed from the outer peripheral surface 36 of the first outer cylinder 35. The second outer cylinder 52 can move between a locking position and unlocking position. At the locking position, the driven rollers 46 and 47 are pressed against the drive wheel 45, while at the unlocking position, the driven rollers 46 and 47 are released from the pressure against the drive wheel 45. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
