<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a new method for removing a second bead of tire from a rim. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus is used to remove the second bead T2 of the tire T when a first bead T1 of the tire is already removed from a first edge of the rim W, and includes: a supporting member 2 which can move in parallel to a rotary shaft (x-x); a driving device for the supporting member 2; a tool retention arm 3 supported by the supporting member 2; an abutting element 4 supported by the tool retention arm 3; and a hooked extraction member. The abutting element 4 has an operation surface, abuts with the second bead T2 from outside on the operation surface, and is moved near the first edge of the rim W by the driving device 2a. The hooked extraction member is moved practically in a lateral direction with respect to the rotary shaft (x-x) of the rim W near the operation surface between a drawing static position and an extension operation position inside the abutting element 4, and inserted between the abutting element 4 and the second bead T2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
