摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device which satisfies both of reduction in the load on an engine in an idling operation in an idle neutral control when a fuel save operation mode is selected and the suppression of deterioration in start response when the idle neutral control is canceled. <P>SOLUTION: When the engine 2 is changed to the fuel save operation mode by pushing down an echo mode switch 31 in an idling operation during parking in the idle neutral control, the engagement degree of a forward crutch 7 is set to be weaker than that in a case that the engine has been already changed to a normal operation mode and is adjusted to be near the engagement degree in an N range. As a result, the load on the engine is reduced according to weakening of the engagement degree of the forward crutch 7 and since the engagement degree is set stronger than the engagement degree when an automatic transmission 1 is in the neutral position, the deterioration in the start response when the idle neutral control is canceled is suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
