<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for a lithium secondary battery, which has high heat resistance and excellent battery characteristics, and inhibits the degradation of the battery resulting from the decomposition of an electrolyte. <P>SOLUTION: A separator for a lithium secondary battery is provided with a porous layer containing an insulating inorganic filler on at least one side of a porous base material. The porous base material is made of a nonwoven fabric containing 30 mass% or more polyester fiber crystallized in an oriented manner and having a fiber diameter of 1.0 to 8.0 μm and a fiber length of 1 to 7 mm, and the porous layer contains at least one kind selected from magnesium hydroxide and magnesium oxide. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
