<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a PTFE fiber that has a low heat shrinkage ratio and excellent low friction characteristics, heat resistance, chemical resistance, and steaming-proof using a matrix spinning method. <P>SOLUTION: A PTFE fiber having a low heat shrinkage ratio and excellent dimensional stability is obtained by a matrix spinning method in which a mixture spinning dope of a mixed matrix polymer of a PTEF resin dispersion and a matrix polymer is spun from a spinneret, fired, drawn and then heat treated at a relaxation rate of 10% or more and 20% or less, at a yarn contacting temperature of 300°C or more and 350°C or less, and for a yarn contacting time of 0.5 sec or more and 5 sec or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
