The device (14) has a connecting conduit (18) comprising an inlet (18A) connected to a power supply and an outlet (18B) connected to a liquid or gaseous product storage tank. A retention chamber (20) is connected to the conduit in parallel and equipped with a sampling valve (24) i.e. solenoid valve. The conduit has a loading authorization valve (22) situated between the retention chamber and the outlet of the conduit. A control unit generates a control signal for controlling opening of the load authorization valve based on information relative to nature of produce from the retention chamber. An independent claim is also included for a method for managing connection of a liquid or gaseous product storage tank to a power supply.
