METHOD FOR DIAGNOSTICS OF PURULENT BACTERIAL MENINGITIS

A method for diagnostics of purulent bacterial meningitis with use of hemo-lymph of silkworm larvae at which one uses SLP-reaction with live clonal material of the silkworm larvae, with determination of quantitative content of peptidoglycan PG in liquor of patients with pneumococcal and meningococcal meningitis by the level of dyeing of reaction mixture, that for one uses calibration curve plotted beforehand, through sequential dilution of standard peptidoglycan with setting well-defined correspondence between each specific value of concentration of peptidoglycan and the value of optical density of the mixture.
