<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method of maneuvering in order to avoid loss of control intervals between aircrafts. <P>SOLUTION: A flight management system for an aircraft may determine maneuvers to avoid loss of control intervals between the aircraft and another aircraft. The flight management system may include a processor and a memory accessible from the processor. The memory may store instructions that are executable by the processor to identify a potential loss of control intervals between the aircraft and the second aircraft. The instructions may also be executable by the processor to determine whether the first speed maneuvering using predetermined parameters is predicted to avoid a potential LOS. The instructions may be further executable by the processor to determine parameters of the second speed maneuvering when the first speed maneuvering is expected to avoid the potential LOS. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
