PUFFER TYPE GAS CIRCUIT BREAKER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve assembly workability by supporting an insulation cover with a double-supported beam between a puffer cylinder and an insulation nozzle.

SOLUTION: A puffer type gas circuit breaker is comprised of a fixed side arc contactor and a movable side arc contactor 8 inside a tank filled with arc-extinguishing gas; a puffer chamber formed with a puffer cylinder 6 coupling the movable side arc contactor 8 at the tip thereof and a fixed piston; an insulation cover 10 installed at the tip of the puffer cylinder 6 surrounding the movable side arc contactor 8; and an insulation nozzle 9 installed at the tip of the puffer cylinder 6 surrounding the insulation cover 10. The insulation cover 10 has a gas passageway 10c and is held in place with a double-supported beam between the tip of the puffer cylinder 6 and the insulation nozzle 9.
