<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately guide the meaning or the like of an icon image when necessary in displaying the icon image. <P>SOLUTION: Normal mode display processing for displaying icon images of kinds corresponding to an operation status of an apparatus on a display unit is performed.
