<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a structure capable of reducing unevenness of image density without regard to an image ratio of an output image. <P>SOLUTION: A video counter 80 estimates density of an output image for each pixel based on image data retrieved by a CCD 8c. A CPU 8a calculates an image ratio corresponding to a location of the output image in a vertical scanning direction, based on the estimated density.
