<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method that is capable of effectively preventing the growth of microorganisms such as mold, and capable of providing high antifouling performance, even if an article has minute grooves or irregularities on the surface. <P>SOLUTION: The coating method includes: a step of stirring a coating composition made by dispersing, in an aqueous medium, hydrophilic inorganic fine particles, hydrophobic resin particles, and antibacterial agent particles containing at least one of a chlorothalonil, captan, thiuram, dichlofluanid, copper naphthenate, thiabendazole, and carbanilide based compound, and having a density larger than that of the aqueous medium, and of achieving a state of the antibacterial agent particles dispersed in the aqueous medium; a step of applying the coating composition with the dispersed antibacterial agent particles on a member to be coated having the minute groove or minute irregularities on the surface; and a step of drying the coating composition on the member to be coated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
