<p>The sheet conveying apparatus has a circumferentially guided gripper carriage (1) with an air guiding element (3) that is movable with an air supply unit having sheet guiding element (7). The sheet guiding element comprises Venturi nozzles that are arranged with compressed-air orifices for blowing an air stream in sheet conveying direction, and for adjusting flow of air stream.
