<p>The invention concerns a method of providing a session server (14) of a communication service provider network (1) with remote application services, and a application session border element (111, 112, 113, 114) to execute this method. An application service request used by the session server (14) for invoking an application service is routed towards an application session border element (111, 112, 113, 114) of said communication service provider network (1). The application session border element (111, 112, 113, 114) maps the application service request to an appropriate application service provided by a foreign application service provider. A service session is established between the session server (14) of the communication service provider network (1) and an application server (22, 23, 24, 25) of the foreign application service provider. The traffic associated with said service session is routed through the application session border element (111, 112, 113, 114) to said application server (22, 23, 24, 25). The application session border element (111, 112, 113, 114) monitors and controls the service session to ensure that the service session complies with a set of preset parameters.</p> |
