<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of reducing vibration of piping and generation of refrigerant noise in accompany with switching of four-way valves in a defrosting operation. <P>SOLUTION: This air conditioner comprises a means for stopping an operation of a compressor 30A, 30B of one of outdoor units 3A, 3B for one minute prior to a defrosting operation when one of the outdoor units 3A, 3B needs defrosting during a heating operation, a means for switching the four-way valves 31A, 31B, 31C of the outdoor units 3A, 3B, 3C to allow one of the outdoor units 3A, 3B to be functioned as a condenser and to allow the other outdoor unit 3C to be functioned as an evaporator, and a means for circulating the refrigerant among the plurality of outdoor units 3A, 3B, 3C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
