FIBER COUPLING METHOD USING FIELD INSTALLABLE OPTICAL CONNECTOR

PURPOSE: An optical fiber connection method is provided to match a reflection loss and insertion loss of an optical cable to product requirements by setting a connection angle of optical fiber connection surface as an optimum angle. CONSTITUTION: A ferrule(10) is connected to optical fibers of an external light cable(12) within a field assembly optical connector by the media of refractive index compensation liquid. A connection angle for the optical fiber connection is 2 to 4 degrees. A reflection loss by the refractive index compensation liquid and an insertion loss by the interval between optical fiber connection surfaces satisfy the standards for reflection loss and insertion loss.
