PURPOSE: A catalyst carrier coating apparatus and a catalyst coating method using the same are provided to uniformly keep the thickness of a coated catalyst on the inner part of a ceramic carrier and to save costs required for manufacturing a filter. CONSTITUTION: A catalyst carrier coating apparatus includes a rack(110), a hopper(120), a supplying pipe(130), a chamber(140), a discharging pipe(150), a valve(160), a vacuum pump, an exhaust pipe(170), and a controlling part. A carrier(W) is adjacently fixed to the rack. The hopper stores slurry(S) containing a catalyst. The hopper selectively supplies the slurry to the carrier. The supplying pipe guides the slurry through the carrier and the rack. The slurry through the carrier and the supplying pipe is stored in the chamber. The discharging pipe selectively discharges gas from the chamber. The valve selectively shields the supplying pipe and the discharging pipe. The vacuum pump generates vacuum in the chamber according to the state of the valve. The exhaust pipe exhausts gas through the vacuum pump. The controlling part controls the valve and the vacuum pump. |
