PURPOSE: A synergistic antibacterial composition containing glyphosate compounds and 3-iodine-propynyl-butylcarbamate is provided to enhance antibacterial function. CONSTITUTION: A synergistic antibacterial composition contains glyphosate compounds and 3-iodine-propynyl-butylcarbamate. The glyphosate compound contains zinc glyphosate. A method for suppressing or controlling microorganism growth in construction materials comprises a step of adding the antibacterial composition to the construction materials. A coating composition contains the antibacterial composition. A method for preparing zinc glyphosate comprises: a step of preparing a glyphosate solution; and a step of mixing the solution with an inorganic zinc salt solution at pH 6.
