ENERGY HARVESTING APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE AND ENERGY MANAGEMENT METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: An energy harvesting apparatus for a vehicle and an energy managing method thereof are provided to intelligently store and manage power by connecting a smart grid to a high capacity battery. CONSTITUTION: A battery unit(120) is formed in a vehicle. An energy collecting unit(110) is installed in one side of the vehicle and generates renewable power by collecting renewable energy. An external charging interface(130) is formed on one side of the vehicle to exchange power between the battery unit and a smart grid. An integrated power converting unit(140) transmits power to the battery unit by collecting power supplied from the energy collecting unit and the external charging interface. A charge/discharge circuit unit(150) stores power from the integrated power converting unit in the battery unit. A communication unit(160) functions as a communication interface between a power management server of the smart grid and an energy managing unit(170).
