AUTOMATIC CONTROL APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR FREQUENCY

PURPOSE: An automatic frequency control apparatus and method are provided to maintain good channel environment by correcting a frequency error more precisely in a high speed moving environment. CONSTITUTION: An error measurement part(310) measures errors of a receiving frequency and a transmission frequency. The error measurement part stores the measured frequency errors. A comparison part(320) compares the number of times of frequency error measurement at the error measurement part with the reference number of times for compensating for frequency estimation. A first compensation part(330) compensates for frequencies by using the frequency errors according to a comparison result by the comparison part. A second compensation part(340) compensates for a frequency value to be used before a next frequency control cycle according to the comparison result by the comparison part.
