<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide interphase insulating paper which can be inexpensively manufactured. <P>SOLUTION: Interphase insulating paper 10 comprises a first upper side projecting portion 22 for covering a U-phase coil projecting portion projecting outward from a stator of a U-phase coil; and an upper side arc portion for covering a U-phase coil end portion provided adjacently to the first upper side projecting portion 22, and extended further outward from the U-phase coil projecting portion. The interphase insulating paper 10 has a plane shape, so that the insulating paper 10 is easily manufactured. If manufacturing is easy, cost for manufacturing the interphase insulating paper 10 is decreased.
