PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain one continuous operating characteristic by constituting a surface elastic surface wave devicd so that signals of bands where two input electrodes and two output electrodes having adjacent and overlapping operation bands overlap in position will be in phase with each other. CONSTITUTION:On piezoelectric substrate 1, low-frequency-range and high-frequency-range input electrodes 2a and 2b are successively provided in the progagation direction of surface elastic waves and low-frequency-range and high-frequency- range output electrodes 3a and 3b are also provided in the propagation direction of surface elastic surface waves. Setting center frequencies of low-frequency-range and high-frequency-range input and output electrodes to f1 and f2, distance x3 between input electrodes 2a and 2b and distance x4 between output electrodes 3a and 3b are so selected that signals of overlapping band (a) will be in phase. Thus, input and output electrodes formed on the same surface elastic wave propagation line provide one continuous broad-band frequency characteristic. |
