PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic coupon issuance method that improves the value of an electronic book and improves the effectiveness of advertising for an article and an advertisement included in the electronic book.

SOLUTION: An electronic coupon issuance method of a server device for issuing an electronic coupon relating to information in an electronic book to a terminal device displaying the electronic book via a network includes: a reception step of, when the electronic book is browsed on the terminal device, receiving at least book identification information of the electronic book and location information from the terminal device via the network; a determination step of determining an electronic coupon to be transmitted to the terminal device on the basis of at least the received book identification information and location information; and a transmission step of transmitting electronic data of the determined electronic coupon to the terminal device via the network.
