PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technique capable of performing an approval request with a simple operation procedure concerning a mail content.

SOLUTION: An information processing system includes: mail reception means for receiving an e-mail from a client terminal; extraction means for extracting a mail address designated as a destination to which a copy mail is transmitted, among the transmission destinations of the e-mail received by the mail reception means; determination means for determining whether or not the performance of the approval request is designated to the mail address designated as the destination to which the copy mail is transmitted; request means for designating the mail address for the approval request when it is determined that the performance of the approval request is designated, and requesting approval processing to a workflow server; result reception means for receiving the result of the approval processing from the workflow server in accordance with the request means; and mail control means for performing control in mail transmission in accordance with the result received by the result reception means.
