<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the suppression of characteristic deterioration and the reduction of a cost. <P>SOLUTION: A touch panel includes: a substrate; a surface shape first conductive film for shielding, which is formed on the observer side surface of the substrate; an insulator film formed on the first conductive film for shielding; multiple first electrodes formed on the insulator film, extended in a first direction, and juxtaposed in a second direction to cross with the first direction; and multiple second electrodes formed on the insulator film, extended in the second direction, and juxtaposed in the first direction to cross with the second direction. The first conductive film for shielding inputs a prescribed signal. Each one of the multiple first electrodes includes: a first portion formed on the observer side surface of the substrate; and a second portion formed by separation from the second electrode on the insulator film. The first portion is connected to the second portion via a contact hole formed in the insulator film.
