PURPOSE: An image processing device and an image processing method are provided to minimize movement detection range when overlapping each image pixel and to reduce load of image process. CONSTITUTION: An image mixing unit(5) moves a unit image based on feature points. The image mixing unit reduces error of each unit image. An image synthesizing unit superposes each unit image. The image synthesizing unit outputs the synthesized image. A movement detection range operating unit(7) calculates detection range of each feature point according to the number of handshaking image pixels.
