<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a FPD module assembly device that is downsized by reducing a space for arranging a conveyance mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: A substrate holding member 521 comprises a holding part 531 which detachably holds a display substrate 1A, a first rotational driving part, an arm part 533, and a second rotational driving part. The second rotational driving part rotates the arm part 533 in a R1 direction, and the first rotational driving part rotates the holding part 531 holding the display substrate 1A in a R2 direction opposite to the R1 direction.
