<p>A method and a device for achieving hot plug of central processing unit. The method comprises: receiving an instruction for indicating the killing or activation of a central processing unit (CPU); carrying out the killing or activating operation corresponding to the instruction. The killing operation comprises the following steps: forbidding the CPU; receiving information for indicating the suspension of the CPU; and the CPU setting a sleeping environment and entering a sleeping state. The activating operation comprises the following steps: receiving the information for indicating the wakening of the CPU; the CPU setting a guide context, and a guiding kernel carrying out a guiding process of the CPU. The solution solves the problem that no specific method for achieving the hot plug of the CPU is provided in the prior art, thereby achieving the effect of reducing power consumption.</p> |
