METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING DYSPLASTIC DEFORMATIONS OF KNEE JOINT

A method for diagnosing dysplastic deformations of the knee joint comprises X-ray imaging of the joint in sagittal projection followed by measuring the length of kneecap between its upper and lower edges and its ligament from the lower edge to the greater tuberosity of femur. Then the ratio of these values is calculated. Furthermore, based on X-ray findings, the rotation centers are assessed and the radii of the curvature for anterior and posterior sliding surfaces of the condyle as well as the distance between these rotation centers are measured. Finally, the index of pathology for the knee joint is calculated.
