A mobile terminal having a folder part rotating function and an image output method are provided to output an image in the optimum direction by automatically rotating a folder part according to the image. A folder part(110) includes an LCD(111) mounted on one surface thereof, a protrusive shaft inserted on its rear surface, a bearing(112) being inserted at an outer circumference of the protrusive shaft, and a folder part driving gear(113) combined at an end portion of the protrusive shaft. A folder support(120) includes a through hole, through which the protrusive shaft is inserted, formed on the surface contacting with the folder part(110) so that the bearing(112) is fixed at an inner circumference of the through hole to allow the folder(110) to be rotatably combined, and a motor gear(122) in mesh with the folder part driving gear(113). A main body part(130) is hinge-combined with the folder support(120) to open and close the folder part(110), outputs an image signal outputted from the LCD(111) of the folder part(110), and also outputs a motor drive signal for rotating the folder part according to an output direction of the image signal. |
