<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal printing head capable of narrowing a pad installation area. <P>SOLUTION: The thermal printing head includes a plurality of heating parts, an electrode layer having a plurality of individual electrodes 33, a driving IC 7 for electrifying selectively the plurality of heating parts, and a plurality of wires 81 connected to the plurality of individual electrodes 33 and the driving IC 7, each individual electrode 33 includes a band-like part 331 electrically connected to the heating parts, and pad parts 332A, 332B with a width wider than the band-like part 331, the respective pad parts 332A, 332B include bonding pads 333A, 333B connected with the respective wires 81, and probe contacting pads 334A, 334B, widths of the probe contacting pads 334A, 334B are narrower than widths of the bonding pads 333A, 333B, and the pad parts 332A, 332B have overlapped portions overlapped in an x view in main scanning direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
