<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner showing excellent low-temperature fixability and giving an image of high picture quality and high resolution in an apparatus using a blade cleaning process while leaving little transfer residual toner. <P>SOLUTION: A toner is obtained through steps of: preparing an oil phase comprising a solution or a dispersion liquid, which is prepared by dissolving or dispersing, in an organic solvent, at least a binder resin and/or a binder resin precursor, a colorant, a release agent and a kneaded composite of a binder resin and a modified layered inorganic mineral obtained by modifying at least a part of metal cations in a layered inorganic mineral with organic cations; emulsifying the oil phase in an aqueous medium to granulate particles; and cleaning and drying the particles. An amount of the organic cations remaining on toner surfaces, which decrease a charge amount of the toner, is 4.0×10<SP POS="POST">-6</SP>mol/g or less in the toner. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
