<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording head including a spin torque oscillator which has lower critical current density for spin torque oscillation. <P>SOLUTION: The magnetic recording head includes a main magnetic pole for generating a recording magnetic field in a magnetic recording medium, a return yoke pairing with the main magnetic pole, and the spin torque oscillator including a first magnetic layer, a second magnetic layer, and a third magnetic layer provided so as to be laminated between the main magnetic pole and return yoke. The third magnetic layer is made of Fe<SB POS="POST">4</SB>N, and a current is fed in a direction from the first magnetic layer to the third magnetic layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
