<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent maintenance of devices housed in a guide box from being complicated, in a platform door device with a display device provided in the guide box. <P>SOLUTION: The platform door device includes a guide box 12, first and second door panels 15 and 16 supported so as to advance toward the outside from the guide box 12, a first driving device 51 for driving the first door panel 15 and a second driving device 52 for driving the second door panel 16. The guide box 12 has an opening 30a formed in one side surface on a platform side so as to be opened and closed. The first and second driving devices 51 and 52 are disposed nearer the one side surface than the passage region of the first and second door panels 15 and 16.
