<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide parallel calculation architecture for calculating particle interaction. <P>SOLUTION: Architecture for calculating particle interaction uses various parallel processing. The parallel processing includes multiple calculation nodes arranged according to a geometric partitioning of a simulation volume. Each of the nodes includes a storage unit for particle data of a particle in one area of the simulation volume. A communication system includes a link for interconnecting the calculation nodes. Each of the nodes includes a processor subsystem.
